Bilirubin oxidase activity of Bacillus subtilis CotA
Article Abstract:
A study was made on the spore coat protein CotA from Bacillus subtilis, which was previously identified as a laccase. It was observed that the CotA showed a strong bilirubin oxidase activity and a remarkable affinity for bilirubin than conventional bilirubin oxidase.

Bacterial cell surface display of an enzyme library for selective screening of improved cellulase variants
Article Abstract:
Results demonstrate that a growth-based bacterial surface display screening for carboxymethyl cellulase directly correlates enzyme activity with cell growth. Data point out the technique provides a tool to identify cellulase variants.
